Amit is a qualified Chartered Accountant and also holds a Masters Degree in Finance from IP university. He is also a qualified lawyer. His previous organizations include Deloitte, Price WaterHouse Coopers and BMR Advisors. Amit has over 10 years experience in the fields of Transfer Pricing, Mergers and Acquisitions and International Tax matters. Over the past years, Amit has provided transfer pricing services to leading multinationals across a range of industries such as Consumer durables, industrial goods, software and ITES, Pharmaceutical, Infrastructure, FMCG, and many more. He has been actively involved in providing litigation support, transfer pricing documentation, transfer pricing planning and structuring services to a number of national and multi-national companies. He has extensive experience in advising clients on transfer pricing structuring, transfer pricing valuations including intangible valuations, and has been involved in various assignments involving IP structuring, TESCM, Intra-group cost allocations and implementation of global transfer pricing policy. He has extensive experience in assisting multi-national companies resolve complex transfer pricing disputes at almost all appellate forums and has also assisted various multi-nationals in resolving disputes through the Mutual Agreement Procedure and APA proceedings. He has contributed articles on transfer pricing to various journals and is a regular speaker at various forums. Amit considerable experience in advising clients on M&A tax matters, corporate laws, foreign investment, exchange control and other regulatory issues. He has worked on multiple assignments involving complex issues concerning mergers and acquisitions and specializes in structuring and implementing M&A transactions including business re-organizations, tax restructuring, financial restructuring, divestment, spin-offs and cash repatriation planning. He has served several multi-national and domestic clients in a cross-section of industries on diverse matters relating to entry strategy, acquisitions, business consolidations, re-alignment and exit structures.
